About Us
Who are we
We bridge the gap between traditional martial arts training and everyday real-world application.
Who am I?
A simple martial artist, starting with 1986.
I have started with Kyokushin under the supervision of Sensei Tică Marcu, after which I have studied and continue to study with Grand Master Vasile Niță and Sifu 2 Adrian Florea.
I strongly believe the study never stops.
I’ve participated and I still do in seminars organized by other masters too, in various fields of martial arts: Kapap Military (Master Andrea Bove), Knife Combat System (Sifu Cristian Tunschi), Haganah (Luciano Dos Santos), Kempo Military & Kempo Street Fight (Sensei Ionel Crînguș, Master Robert Manole, Nicu Ababei), Muay Boran (Arjan Franco Montaguti, Maestrul Ștefan Spandonide), Sento (Sijo Vlad Piatră).

Testimonials
We are a small, united community, and we are helping each other when needed, just like family do. We come from very different generations and fields of activity, but we gathered under the same umbrella, which protects us from bad weather.
By distracting the attention and using certain acquired reflexes, we can control to a certain extent, a threat and an imminent danger for ourselves or for our loved ones.
The reflexes we are developing all the time for self-defence are built through repetitive work but also through becoming aware and understanding of the exercises during the training sessions.
Being able to use an object nearby and defend yourself with it if needed is an advantage that can make a difference when you are confronted with a dangerous situation.
Working this kind of scenarios in a controlled environment, with certain techniques studied and adapted for maximum of efficiency, we can decrease the chances of becoming victims, when we find ourselves in self-defence situations.
With this kind of training and with the special people I met in the dojo, I’ve chosen to set up a weekly program and invest time for five years for a better inner mood and for the possibility of defending my family and my dear ones if needed. I had the opportunity to participate in the competitions organised within our federation, and I’ve obtained very good results for our dojo.
I have a deep respect for both our sensei and for our master, but also for the colleagues and friends I’ve met on this extraordinary occasion.
My first encounter with Lucian and Krav Maga training sessions was about four years back, when I first came to the dojo, following the suggestion of some of my friends.
I was warmly welcomed by an extraordinary, open-minded community, and I started acquiring techniques, discipline, and knowledge in the field of self-defense.
There is a variety of training sessions, starting with flexibility and strength drills and ending with specific contact techniques, avoiding various forms of attack, as well as the psychology of avoiding conflicts or using everyday objects in order to be able to defend yourself.
Lucian keeps a thoughtful eye on the development of each of us, and he is always prepared to focus on improving our techniques in such a way as to take into account the strongest or weakest points of each individual.
I strongly recommend joining our training sessions, not only for acquiring the knowledge and skills in the field of self-defense but also for the bonus of good health and positive energy this martial art system brings and for the wonderful people you’ll meet here.
If I were to describe in one word the dojo in “Verzisori 1”, I would find myself in dire straits, for I couldn’t put it in only one word.
So maybe Experience would be the best word, but I can’t help adding Friendship, Loyalty, Diligence, Dedication… And I can keep going on to be more precise, but I do believe that every individual must find their own words.
I first joined a training session just to see if I liked it; a friend of mine suggested it to me. Five years later, I own a black belt, a few awards in competitions, and I am blessed with an extraordinary group of friends.
This Experience is something special, and I strongly recommend it to anyone. This is not only about technique; although Sensei Lucian is very technical and well-trained, you also find a place to get things off your chest, exercise, laugh, and fill your body with elevated energy. There is only one way to find out.
You are more than welcome to come to our dojo, we’ll be waiting for you!
Five years back, out of curiosity, I tried a Krav Maga training session. I first thought they were challenging and complex, mainly because I couldn’t manage the techniques, and they looked complicated to me.
Under the guidance of sensei Lucian and with the help of my colleagues, I managed to acquire the techniques every step of the way and discover the beauty of this self-defense system.
Lucian is the perfect Sensei who gives the appropriate attention and patience to each student and guides their steps based on their abilities and areas for improvement.
At the same time, he teaches you how to acquire practical skills on the psychology of conflicts and how to avoid them. For example, one of the principles I’d never heard before starting my Krav Maga training is: “The physical combat you will always win is the one you have avoided.”
Sensei Lucian always integrates techniques belonging to other martial arts into Krav Maga, so one is going to have several options for reaction when they find yourself in a situation which requires using them.
For me, sensei Lucian is an example of mastery, dedication, and modesty who can guide you through the martial arts, even if you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner.
I feel lucky and grateful to have you as a teacher, Sensei! OSS!
Since February 2018, I have been trained in the Krav Maga Kapap system in the “Verzișori 1” dojo.
During the regular training sessions with our Sensei Lucian and under the supervision of Master Vasile Nita, who keeps checking and validating our individual progress, I have gradually evolved according to the time I have put into it.
“Where there is a will, there is a way.” if you keep coming regularly to the dojo, this is the way. The training conditions are excellent: ongoing training sessions with all the necessary equipment, seminars, boot camps, belt grading examinations, and competitions organized by our Krav Maga Kapap Romanian Federation.
I am grateful to Sensei for being a generous mentor in the field of self-defense. Characteristics of this self-defense system are: the organizers are serious and rigorous, we are permanently being watched and individually advised so that we can learn the techniques properly. Every student will receive training according to their own skills, endurance, degree of comprehension (KM Kapap dojo is open to people of all ages), Sensei has all the patience in the world and he’s waiting for you to make progress.
I call it a pedagogical gift. Sensei has a way of encouraging the student to grow his/her skills, regardless of the fact that they are starting as beginners or they are already advanced.
We have always had guests in our dojo, friends of Sensei and they taught us different techniques from their area of expertise.
This is a martial arts style in a continuous evolution which includes new efficient techniques borrowed from other international martial arts schools.
Our Sensei's technical level and experience in teaching martial arts (he always keeps an eye on us), are at a high level, a consequence of many decades of passion for the martial arts.
His philosophy is that learning never stops, and I am honored and happy I have met him.
Going back to it, I can see that my evolution and that of my colleagues was consistent: flexibility, endurance, technique, acquired reflexes, and increased mental concentration.
Verzisori 1 is also a friendship and mutual respect community in which Sensei has invested his finances and put his heart into it, he has also invested his own time, which he generously gave us with love.
For example, during the long month of isolation caused by COVID-19, Sensei summoned us online without any interruption in order to continue our training. And also for the theoretical part using the books from his private library on self-defense and martial arts.
Acknowledging his passion and his qualities as a lecturer, we, his students, encouraged Sensei to put together this site he had long been dreaming of, planning, documenting, and selecting materials. We know that everything that has been and will be written, means expertise and efforts generously offered to society.
